Are we making more money than last year?Revenue can rise without delivering more profit. Compare the same six months in both years to see what happened after direct costs and operating expenses, and whether the improvement held throughout the period.
We made a profit. Why did cash fall?Profit on paper does not guarantee cash in the bank. An owner needs to spot collections, inventory and project timing issues before deciding whether to spend, borrow or change terms.
What did the 13-week cash outlook show at June 30?The previous report investigates the cash decline. This historical forecast shows how receipts, vendor payments and payroll were expected to affect weekly cash after June 30, giving an owner a starting point for testing commitments and collection timing.
Which sales lines generate the best margins? The largest source of revenue is not necessarily the best source of contribution profit. This comparison can inform pricing, sales emphasis and questions about which work is worth pursuing.
Who generates our sales revenue?See where revenue is concentrated across the sales team and where a closer look may be useful. Revenue alone does not establish who is most profitable or account for differences in leads, roles or time periods.
Who creates the most profit, not just the most revenue?Revenue alone misses direct costs and attributed support. Comparing contribution profit in dollars and as a share of revenue shows which salespeople deliver more profit and where product mix or project costs deserve a closer look.
What might our 2026 tax position look like, and what should we discuss with our CPA?A forward-looking tax discussion can help an owner prepare questions about taxable income, potential adjustments and cash reserves while there is still time to act. This report shows the process using assumed August figures.
